Our PTA

Our PTA is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Get to know their names and faces, and feel free to ask them if you have questions.

You can contribute to the Marin community and the efforts of the PTA in all kinds of ways. We are currently looking for volunteers with a variety of projects. Contact us to see how you can get involved.

We are also currently looking for individuals to fill several fun but important committee positions. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the PTA President by email at pres@marinschoolPTA.org

Do you have an idea for a new project that would benefit Marin School? PTA members would love to help you get it up and running! If you have a good idea but need some help, this is one way to get your ideas to the larger community. Just shoot us an email, we are here and we are interested.

FAQ:

I want to donate and be a member, but what will I have to do as a member?

--You can be involved as much as your time and energy allows. Being a member does not mean you are automatically recruited to be doing something.

Do I have to go to meetings?

--Anyone is welcome at PTA meetings. You have to be a member to vote on various things, but it is a open meeting. You are not required to go to PTA meetings. We try to make the meetings interesting, often have guest speakers, and always pass along timely, pertinent information about things that are happening at the school and around the district. The principal also gives an update at every meeting. And there's food. And free childcare. And a chance to sit with like-minded adults about improving the lives of our children. And there are only four meetings a year.

I have a great idea for the school? Who can I talk to?

--We love ideas. You can always email a board member (see above for contacts). We can put you in touch with the right people (principal, teachers, district staff, outside resources, other parents, community partners, etc) to get your idea off the ground.

What does PTA even do?

--Almost everything extra outside of the classroom is funded and planned by the PTA. And quite a few things that happen inside the classrooms are made possible by the PTA. Almost every event is a PTA event. Check out this list of programs

How can I volunteer?

We always need volunteers. We need your special talents, your enthusiasm, your bright minds and creativity, and your willingness to be a part of making our children's school lives better. We can find a great place for you within our network. Get in touch with any of the board members (see above for contacts).
