Despite the SF Bay area's rich history of social and economic justice and diverse population, it is not untouched by racism, in particular anti-blackness in predominantly white "liberal" communities which often operates at unconscious levels and impacts parents, teachers, and most importantly, the ways in which children see themselves and treat everyone. In this workshop, Dr. A Breeze Harper, an Albany parent and national speaker and consultant on systemic racism and white supremacy, will provide an introductory talk and an interactive workshop about engaged and mindful parenting regarding racism power, and anti-Blackness.
