Parent Ed Night (Marin)

Description
PARENT-ED NIGHT: Parenting for Respect: How to Raise Kids to be Allies and Challenge Bullying Behavior: Thursday, February 28th 6:30-8:30 pm, Marin MPR
How we react to bullying creates a culture that can either challenge this behavior or allow it to grow. Supporting our kids, and teaching them how to foster respectful relationships is key to addressing bullying, whether kids are the source, target and/or observer.

This engaging, interactive workshop will be co-facilitated by Dr. Amy Scharf and Susie Jordan, MPA. They will share insights on how to strengthen a culture of respect as a tool to address bullying. Amy has more than 20 years experience in educational equity and diversity leadership, including directing state and national training initiatives on cultural competence, multicultural education, bias-based harassment, racial justice, LGBTQ and gender equity, and organizational transformation. Susie is a Marin parent and has 7 years experience in multicultural programming/facilitation.
